About the Book
A runaway teen, a desperate sister, and an intrepid PI determined to discover the truth

When Laura Griffith's sixteen-year-old sister disappears on a frigid February day, leaving only a brief note behind, Laura resolves to do whatever it takes to track down the runaway teen. That includes recruiting ATF agent turned private investigator James Devlin to help. Dev knows time is of the essence with runaways--just forty-eight hours can mean the difference between recovery and ruin.

But the deeper he and Laura dig, the more Dev begins to suspect that something sinister is at work in the girl's disappearance. And in the icy winter weather, the trail is going cold . . .

In her latest thrilling read, queen of romantic suspense Irene Hannon outdoes herself with a fast-paced tale of fear, deception, and just the right dose of romance.

My Thoughts
Oh my word. Trapped! Three words: I loved it!

I fell in love with Irene Hannon's romantic suspense novels a couple of years ago and have been hooked ever since. While I go into her books knowing (1) who is going to fall in love and (2) that everything is going to turn out okay, I'm always curious as to how she's going to get me to that wonderful "happily ever after." And what a journey Trapped was!

I was hooked on Dev from the very beginning. He was so intriguing with a mysterious tragedy in his past and a "good guy" vibe. His work ethic combined with his determination to follow the "house rules" despite his interest in Laura were admirable traits. And of course his gentlemanly behavior was a plus as well. Laura was a sweet girl and I loved that there were more layers to her than we saw at first meeting. She had plenty of gumption and I admired her strong will and determination to find Darcy. I loved reading about two strong characters that were determined not to let situations in their past hold them back, which is a change from many of the books out there where at least one of the characters has major struggles to overcome.

I will admit that the suspense started off a little slow. Somehow, though, Hannon wrote in such a way that I was hooked in spite of that. I just had to keep reading. About halfway through, the suspense really picked up and it was a fast-paced ride from there!

All in all, this was a great book. The hero was charming. The mystery was interesting. The bad guy was suitably creepy. The plot gained momentum as it went. And the romance was so sweet. I'm happy to recommend this book! [5 stars]

I received a free copy of this book from Revell in exchange for my fair and honest review.
