My Thoughts
I typically love romantic suspense and have been reading tons of it this year! I was excited to read Deadly Devotion ... and just knew I would love it. Unfortunately, after reading the first 90 pages, I'm still not into the story. I've picked it up and put it back down several times over the past couple of weeks and have decided to move on.
There were two main issues for me ... One, I just didn't connect with Kate. At all. She seemed prone to jumping to conclusions and was all over the place with her "investigation." Two, the story felt a little stilted. At times I wondered if it was supposed to be for a younger audience. It just didn't grip me the way I had hoped it would.
It seems that others have enjoyed the book, so be sure to check out other reviews if you think you might enjoy reading Deadly Devotion. [DNF]
