About the Book
Sadie McAllister is fastidious to a fault-but that serves her well as
a personal chef to her clients in Denver. But her earliest attempt at
managing romance was a bust when Erik Davis declined her invitation to
the school's eighth grade Sadie Hawkins Dance.
Having celebrated the big 3-0 by ending a relationship, Sadie is
tired of romantic relationships-by-text. The only man she knows willing
to put down his iPhone and have face-to-face conversations with her is
Erik. It's time to put a 21st-century twist on the Sadie Hawkins'
tradition of a woman going after her man. He may not be the hero of her
romantic dreams, but she can propose to Erik and achieve some sort of
happily ever after with her best friend.
Erik is good at two things: his freelance job and maintaining casual,
no-one-gets-hurt relationships with women. What is Sadie thinking,
proposing to him? This is marriage-not a middle school dance.
Erik decides to show Sadie what romance looks like when the man takes
the lead. And while he's at it, he'll prove just how wrong they are for
each other. But when he realizes he's fallen for her, can Erik convince
Sadie his just-for-fun dates were the prelude to "'til death do us
part"?
My Thoughts
Wow! What a great conclusion to the end of this first Year of Weddings! I'm a huge fan of stories where long-time friends finally realize their feelings for each other, and Beth pulls this one off just perfectly. (I also think that this is a great way to give readers a fuller story despite the shortness of a novella.)
I just loved Sadie and Erik and had butterflies the entire time I was reading! Their friendship was so unique and special, and I really loved watching their romantic relationship evolve. Their friends were a great asset to the story as well, and played more than a minimal role to the development of the plot.
A November Bride is a fun, romantic read that I wholeheartedly recommend! [5 stars]

My Thoughts
Love Without End is another incredible story from Robin Lee Hatcher. I loved the way she wove together so many threads to bring readers one beautifully complex and moving story. Chet was probably my favorite character. I really liked him in A Promise Kept and was so glad he got his own story. After all the loss in his life, it was nice to come back and see how he was able to persevere through. The relationship between him and his sons was really special too.
I liked that Anna's story was told throughout the whole book. It really helped to have her whole history instead of just picking up with her return to the ranch. At times the switch between past and present felt a little jarring and almost felt like Anna's story could have been a prequel of sorts, but I was glad they were both included.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I'm a big fan of this series and look forward to more visits to King's Meadow! [4 stars]
