About This Author

Wendy Tyson is an author, lawyer and former therapist whose background has inspired her mysteries and thrillers. Her latest novel, DEADLY ASSETS, the second in the Allison Campbell mystery series, was released on July 22. The first Campbell novel, KILLER IMAGE, was named a best mystery for book clubs in 2014 by Examiner.com and the third Campbell installment, DYING BRAND, is due to be released on May 26. Wendy lives on a micro-farm near Philadelphia with her husband, three sons and two muses, dogs Molly and Driggs.

My Thoughts
Cozy mysteries are generally a fun "alternate" genre for me when I'm looking for something a bit different than my normal reading fare. Hide Nor Hair was a fun, quick read. It's clean, funny, and quite few twists in the mystery to keep things interesting. There were several times where I wasn't sure about the believability of some of the characters' actions, but it is fiction after all. Overall, an enjoyable read. [3.5 stars]

My Thoughts

With a professional organizer as the main character—turned prime suspect and then lead "investigator"—Organized for Murder was a fun read. At times I was a bit overwhelmed by the number of characters, but that ended up adding to the enjoyment as one after the other became my prime suspect.

I enjoyed getting to know Kate and her family. At times I wanted to shout, "Are you crazy?! Don't do that!" But I suppose it wouldn't be a very fun book if everyone played by the rules all the time. *wink* I can see that she will be a fun character to follow in other books.

My one complaint is that there seemed to be a lot of discussion about what was happening in the book and the action was a little slower. However, it was still a good book! [3.5 stars]

Note: While most of the books I review on this site are Christian fiction, this book is written for the general market. There is a small amount of "language" sprinkled throughout, but otherwise this is a clean read.
